The heart of the Historic District.
King Street is Charleston’s most storied dining corridor. Ember & Salt sits at number 14, in a building that has housed a hardware store, a printing press, and now, since 2011, one of the South’s most celebrated steakhouses. The original 1922 tin ceiling is still overhead. The antique brick wall is still behind the bar. Everything else has been in constant, careful evolution.
We are a short walk from the Charleston City Market, The Charleston Place hotel, and most of the city’s major attractions. Whether you are visiting or local, we hope to see you at the table.
